Removing old scanner from File | Import - CS5

Hi,

I use Photoshop CS5 (12.1 x64) on a Mac (Sierra 10.12.3).

I recently changed my multifunction printer because the old one ceased to operate, and have now installed the new one and uninstalled the old one.

However, I have noticed that when I select File | Import...  I still see my old printer/scanner there, and there is no sign of my new one.

While I'm happy to use my new printer's application to scan new docuemnts, I was wondering what causes CS5 to remember my old printer/scanner?  I would like to remove it from the menu but have no idea how to do it.

Anyone help?

Thanks,

Geoff

Did you uninstall the software for the old scanner? I imagine Photoshop is just using the list of installed software.

For the new one: can you scan from any software?
