Photoshop does not open with "edit in"

I cant find a fix for this anywhere. In lightroom, photoshop never opens when I go to "edit in." All that happens is a copy of the photo pops up in Lr as if i have saved it from ps. I am on OsSierra with the most recent versions of Lr and Ps. I worked fine before today. Please help!

Hi tylerw,

Please check the image that you're looking to edit in Photoshop from Lightroom is not missing from the library panel, also you can leave Photoshop running in the background and then try the edit in feature and check if that helps.
