Help for scripting an Action

Can someone tell me if there is help available for scripting an Acrobat Action within VB in order to optimize PDFs?

If the process is running on a server, is it obvious to assume that the server version of Acrobat needs to be running for the automation to happen?

Thank you in advance.

I would also like to index the file with the same action but it seems that doing this is not possible. Can an Index be generated through an action?

There is no "server version" of Acrobat. You're not allowed to use it on a server. Read the EULA.
