How can I convert a large word file to PDF using Adobe without losing my formatting?

Hello there,

I am trying to convert at large word document with very complex formatting (some portrait and some landscape pages in the same document) to a PDF using Adobe Acrobat 10.1.16.  I am using Word for Mac 2011, 14.5.7.  Every time I do this, the PDF has changed all my formatting so pictures are cut in half and tables are all over the place.  I have tried setting the non-printable area to "0" for every page with no luck.  I have also tried saving the document as a .doc (rather than .docx), also no luck.

Any hints or tips would be very gratefully appreciated!

Venessa.
