hi, im  trying to animate this hand,(with the puppet tool) but the forefinger and the middle finger just gets fused together, and that's probably because the gap is to small. but is there any ways to make that a little bit bigger to be able to animate it without ruining the hand?

I would cut up your hand artwork into five pieces on five separate layers. Use the puppet tool on the fingers to make them walk, then pre-compose The entire hand to animate the position of the hand on the screen.
