I recently replaced my hard drive and when I tried to download an e-book an error message (Error, Check activation) appeared and the solution to that was to de-authorize my computer and re-authorize. When I try to deauthorize another error message appears: Unable to erase authorization. Retry after some time. 12 hours has passed and the message is still appearing. What can I do?

I tried Nanaky's solution but I skipped Choose File > Export.
In the Export Registry File dialog box, select Selected Branch under Export Range. Enter a name and location for the backup registry key, and then click Save.
and just right clicked on the Adept key and chose Delete. After that, close the Registry Editor, open Adobe and re-authorize.
