Lightroom crashes after 10 seconds

I started having this problem when I updated to the newest lightroom in December 2016... I've not been able to resolve or find out why this is...

I've had correspondence with a Mr. Sunil Bhaskaran at Adobe... he has not been able to help and no longer replies

Dear Adobe, what's going on? I've been paying for Photoshop and lightroom but only been able to use Lightroom. I've been using Adobe products since the early 90's and I'm feeling quite ignored.

Why does it crash?

What's my solution?

How do I get a response from Adobe?

Yours sincerely

David

OK, two more things to try:

1) Reset LR Preferences file and then uncheck 'Use Graphics Processor again as outlined in Reply 5.

2) If still crashing try changing the display profile to Adobe RGB as outlined below.

If that fixes the issue your EIZO calibration software is most likely set to create ICC Versi

If that fixes the issue your EIZO calibration software is most likely set to create ICC Version 4 and/or LUT profiles, which have been known to cause issues with LR. You'll need to set these to ICC Version 2 (not 4) and Matrix (not LUT or lookup table).

If still crashing explain in second-by-second detail everything you're doing that leads up to and causes LR to crash. Please explain what you see onscreen after the crash (spinning beachball, etc.) including screenshots of any error messages.

None of the t2 things you've mentioned have helped...

I start LR and get about 8 seconds before the spinning beach ball starts... it doesn't stop. LR does not give any messages and I have to ''force quit'' to shut the program

Skärmavbild 2017-03-29 kl. 12.26.34.png

...however, I've now discovered that if I leave LR ''on'' for 3 or 4 minutes it becomes ''un-crashed'' and I can go back into LR and actually use it. I've never tried to leave it ''on'' before... so this is a step in the right direction 🙂

But it's weird that it ''crashes'' then ''un-crashes''

I'll try working in LR and see if it works normally.

You're using the latest version CC 2015.9 and GPU passes Open GL test. Good!

1) Make sure LR Mobile, Address Lookup, and Face Detection are all paused as below:

Paused.jpg

2) If this doesn't fix the hang sign out and then sign in from the Creative Cloud app as outlined here:

http://lightroomkillertips.com/if-youre-having-lightroom-cc-install-issues/

3) If that doesn't work follow the below procedure to delete old install files:

Close LR

Sign Out of Creative Cloud.

Press Command-Shift-G and type /Library and hit enter.

Navigate to Application Support/Adobe

Open SLCache folder and delete all the contents.

Go back and open SLStore folder.

Delete all the contents there.

Open the Creative Cloud app again and Sign In.

Open Lightroom
