Cursor/mouse becoming unresponsive in the Pages Panel

I'm experiencing a strange bug in the latest version 2017 CC, whenever I move my mouse into/over the pages panel it becomes totally sluggish and unresponsive. Haven't seen anything similar mentioned online so was wondering if anyone else here has the same issue. Its strange to say the least. I tired uninstalling and reinstalling, trashing prefs etc, the problem still persists. Any ideas?

Make sure you've followed the steps described here for restoring your InDesign preferences:

I suspect that it's a mouse problem. Make sure your mouse driver is updated to the latest version (go to the website of the mouse manufacturer to check). Or try a different mouse or pointing device.

Well its an apple Magic Mouse 2 I highly doubt its the mouse itself as it behaves fine, this has to do with the panel...  imo.

But we've had other reports about problems with Magic Mice in the past. It may not be the problem, but let's see if anyone else has a better suggestion

I have the same problem. In InDesign when the mouse is over the pages panel and in Captivate when the mouse is anywhere over the slide. I have reset the prefs as above. No change.

Whether I use my standard old Mac mouse or touchpad on laptop no difference.

Is there any solution? This is SO frustrating trying to work with the mouse sticking and slow.

There could be some operating system or third party conflict going on. Try creating a new user on your computer and run InDesign from a new user.

same problem here. Indesign is almost impossible to use like this... Someone help!
