We don't support RTL fonts quite yet, though it's definitely on our roadmap. You should upvote this here: Hebrew / Arabic / right-to-left (RTL) support – Adobe XD Feedback : Feature Requests & Bugs

I've been avoiding this new software for a while as I don't design for web or design mobile interface / experience. However I just downloaded it and tested Arabic to find the following behaviour.

Pick up Type tool, choose an Arabic font, type a sentence. I can only see first character as I type, so the rest of the sentence I typed blindly / by heart. Hit escape key on the keyboard once done, or press on any tool or option on the XD interface to exit typing, now full Arabic sentence is displayed properly.

Pick up Type tool again to edit the existing text, now again nothing but first character is visible till I hit escape.

Are you talking about the text order or not supporting the text at all? There are a number of issues we'll need to work through, and it's all on our radar. Again, it's not something we've picked up yet, but it's on our backlog.

Try typing your Arabic elsewhere like in Text Edit on Mac, or if you're on Windows, just type it in a text editor application, copy your Arabic text then paste it in XD to see if it works for you. Having said that, I didn't experience the problem you faced.
