Hi,
What loads faster when used on a muse site main page?
1. The standard Youtube widget in Muse, or a comp with a small thumbnail image of the video as trigger which opens up to a youtube (in a lghtbox embedded with the youtube code).
2. Does the tabbed panel widget have to load all of the content on each tab before it appears on a page or will load just the content on the tab that shows first.?
Thanks,
Mark

Use Google Chrome:
1. Right click and select 'Inspect'
2. Click on 'Network'
3. Hit F5 to Refresh the Page.
Now you can see the Waterfall of all loading objects, Size, Time etc.

The posterimage/thumbnail approach only loads the link not the video so it's faster for page load.
But ...there other ways to sequentially load the content in a page while loading the bidding in the background. If you use the embed method be sure you set the video (if it's YouTube) to not show other videos when it reaches the end.
loading html5 videos (MP4, ogg, and webm) is quite a bit even on short 30 second videos ...some users are dropping it to just two videos for HTML now...
