Grey squares instead of photos seen in CC after LR5 upgrade

Had LR5 on PC and then transferred to a new MAC and upgraded to LR CC. Now can see photo counts and files but can't view them as they appear as greyed out squares. I can scroll through them etc but just see no colour photos - just grey squares. New to MACs, is it a MAC thing? Thanks for help... Gavin

It is possible after Locating the missing Folders you may need to regenerate previews.

Post a screen shot of you Folder panel like this:

and the command to regenerate previews is here:

Screen Shot 2017-04-01 at 3.59.15 PM.png

Just select files in the grid view and use the above command..

Your photos all have exclamation point icons, indicating that Lightroom can't find the photos. I suspect your folders have question mark icons on them, in which case you need to reconnect the folders inside of Lightroom by following these instructions: Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders . You can reconnect the top level parent folder by the method shown in Figure 4 and associated text.
