Yes, you can do that. This link refers to the trial version of Lightroom CC, but it applies to any version of Lightroom CC.

Thanks Jim. another question. If I buy CC photographer edition and after a while I stop my membership. Can I then also downgrade to lightroom 6? of course without the cloud options, tutorials, app integration, ....

Yes. But be aware that signing up for the Creative Cloud photography plan is a one-year commitment. There will be penalty charges if you withdraw or cancel before the year ends.
