Trim paths

When i imported ai file with layers in to after effects,Layers are being retained but iam not getting contents option below to add trim paths

Show us screenshots of your AI layers palette vs. the AE timeline and of course also the actual content. Sounds like you simply use a specific effect or things like clipping masks that cause rasterization.

the content options are relevant for shape layers, not Ai layers. if you want to convert your Ai layer to Ae Shape layer, then right click on the layer and choose "create shapes from vector layer"
