I'm trying to input my .cr2 files from a photo shoot yesterday, however it states that they are incompatible with lightroom. I have attempted to use a converter for .DNG as well, but when I go to do that, it also states that the files are incompatible for the converter. Does anyone know the way to get the .cr2 files from a Canon t6 model into lightroom? Any help is appreciated!!!

You need at least Lightroom 6.5/CC2015.5. What version do you have installed? Don't say that you have the latest. Check the Lightroom help menu and report the exact version that is listed.

I have cc2015.3. I have attempted to do the update through the CC app, however it says it fails continuously at around 55%. The box says, "Unable to extract the download files."

I have Lightroom Classic version 7.4 and I am experiencing this same problem. The program does not recognize any of my CR2 photos. My camera also is a Canon EOS Rebel T6

What message are you receiving? The T6 has been supported for quite some time. You shouldn't have any difficulty if you are in fact using Lightroom Classic CC 7.4.
