Hi There!
I have a .psd file that when I open in Elements 12 shows a pencil with a line through it and says "non-editable adjustment" and I cannot open the file folders in the layers panel. The file is a legitimate file and show open. Apparently, it does open in PS CS5 but will not in Elements 12.
I am on a Mac running Yosemite OSX.
How can I get around to opening these folders lock/non-editable folders in Elements 12. I've attached a screen shot of the layers panel for your review.
Your support and prompt response is always greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Irene
My guess is that the psd files includes 'layer comps' (groups). That Photoshop feature is missing in old versions of Elements and has only been introduced in PSE15.
You can use an external add-on like Elements+ to be able to use it.
