I am using Acrobat DC and am trying to create a landscape page with a number of columns in legal size. However only 8.5 X 11 (letter) shows on my screen and doesn't allow me to add all the columns I need. How do I make the page show as a landscape legal size on my screen?

In what application are you creating your document? Acrobat is not really a good choice to create documents from scratch, so what you usually do is to create a document in e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe InDesign, ... and then convert to PDF as your last step.

If you need to change your page size, you can do this with the Crop dialog. In the lower left corner of the crop dialog, you find a section titled "Change Page Size". This is where you can modify the size of the page. To rotate the page, you would e.g. right-click on the page thumbnail, and then select to rotate the page from the menu.

Thank you for your prompt reply. In trying to follow your instructions,

using Acrobat Pro DC version 215.006.3280, selecting the "CROP PAGES" menu

item in the EDIT PDF mode doesn't yield any additional controls and the

OBJECTS right side sidebar is grayed out. I have attached the file I am

working on hoping that it will help better explain what I'm trying to do in

adding columns.

Thank you

Fred

Acrobat is not the tool for creating documents (though Adobe marketing makes people think otherwise). Make it is Word or Excel Or Whatever.

You cannot attach any files (besides screenshots and videos) to replies. If you want to share a file, you need to upload it somewhere else and then just share the link to it here (e.g. via these instructions: http://khkonsulting.com/2015/10/share-documents-via-adobes-document-cloud/ ). However, as I've said before, and as TSN has confirmed, you are using the wrong tool.

Because not answering thew question properly and just telling a client to

go use a different product is poor job performance. The acrobat DC has

drawing tools so it was designed to be drawing capable and all I want to

know is how to make the page larger on my screen and why the cropping

instructions use said to use are grayed out and you wont tell me how to

make them useable. That's why !!

Fred, almost anybody you meet here on the Adobe Forums is here on their own time, not getting paid by Adobe. The only people who are Adobe employees have a "Staff" badge. Neither Bernd nor I are working for Adobe, which means we do not need to take any training in Customer Service, because you are not our customer. With replies like this, all you do is to annoy the people who are trying to help. If you want to deal with Adobe's customer support, use this link: http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html (don't use any of the "Forum" options, otherwise you will end up here again). Don't be surprised if you find out that oftentimes the support you find here is much better than what Adobe has to offer via trained CSRs.

The Crop tool - when used from the Edit PDF tools area does not give you any more controls until you either draw a crop rectangle, or double-click on the page you want to crop. There are other ways to bring up the crop tool. When you right-click on a page in the page thumbnails pane, and select to crop pages, you will get the crop dialog right away. If that also does not work, I would assume that your PDF file is protected and does not allow changes.
