Update Link Button Disappeared

I'm a Mac user and about a month ago my Update Link button disappeared. I've tried restarting and reinstalling the program. I've also reinstalled CC all together. I've updated my computer and all my programs are up to date. The button has completely disappeared on any file I open, and does not reappear if I save after I make changes. I haven't been able to update any of my links and the only way for it to reappear is if I open up a completely new file and paste all of my art boards into there and then go and relink all my pages, which is tedious and takes hours. Please help me.

Can you please paste in a screencap of your sharing pop-up so that we can look at what you're seeing?

Click on Share Again, and you should be able to update from that screen.
