Broken Comps in After Effects

I have been working in After Effects, and I began to see an image that shouldn't appear on the video.  Its a still of one video that is unable to be moved or deleted.  I have deleted all factors that are in the project, and have uninstalled and reinstalled After Effects three separate times.  All of this, and no luck.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

here is what is going on, just reinstalled, and there are no layers on the comp.

Purge memory & caches.

What Dave suggested should work.

However, you shouldn't have had that issue in the first place. What, exact, version number of AE are you running?
