Lightroom mobile camera not recording flash in .dng (Android)

When I take a photo with the LR mobile camera with the flash on I can see the results of the flash in the preview photo. But when I open the photo in the app to edit it I see a very different result, with no evidence of the flash.

Here is what the preview looks like that appears in the bottom left right after taking the photo:

And here is what the photo looks like when I open it for editing:

This only occurs if I select .dng as the file format. If I select .jpg it records the flash fine.

Is this a glitch? Am I doing something wrong?
