Video in slideshow?

Hello all –

I've seen partial answers to my question, so I haven't yet found a solution.

Is there a way to embed a video into a slideshow that has other images in the same slideshow? Basically, I'm looking to do a portfolio slideshow with thumbnails that includes both stills & video. I have found instructions on embedding html code, but I cannot get it to work in a slideshow. Also, I have the videos on my hard drive. Is it possible to embed these? The only answers I've seen have been for embedding from a site like YouTube or Vimeo (which I still can't get to work the way I want).

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Preran. Yes, that's the one I tried already. I'll give it another shot! Do you know if there is a way to embed from my hard drive instead of through a second party like YouTube or Vimeo?

Hi Preran –

There must be something that I'm missing. I went to File > Add Files for Upload, but the file name is greyed out & I am unable to select it to place the video.

When I try a different way and embed the HTML from YouTube, the file gets embedded randomly on the page. Below is the process I am following. Perhaps you can tell me where I am going wrong.

– Drag & drop a "Thumbnails" Slideshow Widget onto the page.

– Select a thumbnail in the widget to replace with my video

– Go to Object > Insert HTML

– Paste the HTML into the text area

The file I want is an MP4. Is the file size an issue? Can you tell me what I'm missing? Or just paste instructions? I've tried to do this a ridiculous number of times.
