Placing Word tables with merged cells makes InDesign crash.

InDesign CC (2017) crashes when placing MS Word (2013) tables that contains merged cells.

Can anybody please help me?

Hi,

I was unable to reproduce the crash. This is what I did.

1. I tried with word 2010 and saved my file as 2003 doc.

2. My file had table with cells merged both vertically and horizontally

3. I placed my file in CC 2017 but no crash.

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to reproduce the problem.

When it happens again (because I know it will) I’ll try your proposed solution.
