Content of Place window not up to date with Finder window

On one of our machines we have this strange issue the past few weeks. For some reason the Open/Save/Place content in the application windows is not updated to the current state of our server.

I know Adobe does not - nor have they ever - supported working on files directly off of a network share, but this works fine - and has always worked - on all our other machines.

On the attached screenshot you can see the discrepancy in the content of the folders.

We work in the latest CC2017 version. This also happens at times in Illustrator an Photoshop.

I hope that anyone has a clue as to where I can solve this problem?

Have you tried restoring the InDesign preferences on that particular machine:

Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences
