How do I Create Karaoke Video Step by Step?

I Started on karaoke project and tried to follow the video from step by step on exactly how they are doing it from the YouTube Video ( After Effects Video Tutorial: Karaoke Text - YouTube )but it was difficult for me to follow because he was explaining other things that i did not understand. I felt like I was missing a step. If anyone can help, It would be really appreciated. It would be easier for me to follow step by step. Thanks

That's a sure sign that you don't have some fundamental After Effects knowledge.  Yeah, I know it's tempting to jump right into the fun stuff, but AE's too complicated to use without Basic Training.

It'll take some time... and no one here has the time to hold your hgand for a step-by-step explanation when a perfectly good tutorial is stumping you.
