morph 2 headshots technique

i have 2 headshots of the same person - younger and older.  i did a decent job with the transform and opacity of lining up an eyebrow to show its the same person.  but it's a pain to do this way because everytime i'd shrink the top transform bar to line things up, i'd then have to shrink the left side then the top became too small.

just wondering if there are cool or much better ways to do this - to line up the two faces perfectly. i prefer not to erase any parts of the photos but just show in an animated gif how its the same person.

any tips or techniques are appreciated.  thanks.
