Hello,

For a week now, every opening of Lightroom triggers the start of another process called "kernel task" in the activity monitor. This process then uses a lot of system resources until my 16 GB of RAM is allocated and Lightroom becomes unusable. Moreover, it is now impossible for me to make any backup of my catalog.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance

Hi bePhil ,

May I know which version of Lightroom are you using?

I using the CC version, take a look at these articles:-

High CPU or power use when Adobe Creative Cloud is idle on Mac OS 10.11

High CPU usage due to CEPHtmlEngine

Thanks,

Akash
