Up until recently Lightroom imported all Pamasomnic Lumix GX8 files

Now I'm getting this error message

'Could not copy file to destination folder as it is unreadebleb (166)

Apple Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

Have uninstalled and re-installed Lightroom

Version 2015.10 release. Camera raw 9.10

Wouldn't import from card so I copied the files to the hard disk. Still wouldn't import files

Bridge can see the files o/k

Lightroom shows previews at import dialogue stage.

Any ideas ???

Unreadable usually means you don't have WRITE permission in your operating system to the Destination folder that is specified in the Import dialog.

So, either

  1. change the permission on the Destination folder to WRITE permission; or
  2. change the Destination folder to some other location where you do have WRITE permission (sometimes, this folder name gets changed accidentally)

on trying to straighten

it out and unfortunately haveing recently switched from pc to mac am

finding mac file systems arcane.

Many thanks for taking the time to help me. Much appreciated .

Hi tpaulfelder,

Have you tried changing the destination folder? also, you may correct the read and write permissions for that folder.

Refer: OS X Yosemite: Set permissions for items on your Mac

Mohit
