Videos being magnifed on the timeline

Hello, I'm kind of a beginner of Pr. So recently I imported some videos from my camera. The video works fine when played in the libraries, but after dragging them into the timeline, they got magnified even when I adjust the size to "Fit". I checked the Edit>Preferences>General "Default scale to frame size" button but the videos are still magnified. They work fine in the preview section but got magnified when added into the timeline! Help plz

You are using the wrong sequence settings.

Drag the clip to the "create new sequence from clip" icon and it will choose the correct settings for you.
