Printing small pieces of a very large artboard

Hi,

I've exported an .ai file to Illustrator. Its a very wide artboard (almost 4000 px wide).

When I print from Illustrator, I'm able to print 11x17 (my desired print size) sections from the artboard. However, I'm having quality issues printing straight from Illustrator.

So I'd like to try printing the document from Acrobat, but it doesn't seem to have the functionality to print pieces of a page. It chooses one section, locks on that, and that seems to be it (see attached screenshot). Is there a way to control which areas you print?

Try the Poster button.

Thanks, but its not clear how to divide up the page. There's no rectangle that you can use to choose certain pieces. Am I missing something?

When you want print one piece of the document use the Crop Tool.

Or the Current View option in the Print dialog.
