InDesign CS5.5 has decided to not work for me and I don't know why. It opens up eventually however it then shows the attached messages. Once open I can access a file but then it freezes as soon as I try to do anything like ungroup items.

Any ideas on how I can fix this without having to reinstall??

CS 5.x and CS6 are not compatible with Sierra, you need to subscribe to CC or dowgrade your OS to 10.11. I think with a new computer only CC will be possible.

Thanks heaps... Bumma for me!

Excuse my ignorance but what does CC stand for?

Downgrading to El Capitan is painful but I guess if that's what i need to do I'll just have to suck it up!

CC stands for Creative Cloud.

Sorry but InDesign CS5.5 (and CS6) are not supported by Adobe under El Capitan either.

Thanks but CS5.5 has been working fine when I had El Capitan and was fine even with Sierra (which I installed about 2 weeks ago) until 2 days ago! So I don't see why it wouldn't work if it did previously

Urgh..... this is like an onion!

Appreciate all the advice. Just to clarify what you've all said.... my options are:

1) try to downgrade to 10.11 (El Capitan) to see if this helps

2) subscribe to CC to see if that works

3) Buy the latest CS

Any other advice appreciated?

I didn't say it didn't work, I said it wasn't supported by Adobe. Some people have no problems, others do.

El Capitán would not help. Latest compatible version would be 10.11!
