How do you edit the image below, when there's a title on top?

I'm trying to use my mouse to reposition one of my images. There's text on the layer above. The image is selected on the timeline. 

Every time I try to move the image, APE switches to the text element and moves that instead.

I've tried disabling the text. Then it's invisible, but APE still refuses to let me move my image (!!), and instead moves the (invisible) text.

Please help!!  Thank you!!
