objects in a group lose their fill when pasted

Seem like it mostly happens when objects are grouped with other objects and text but also happens to some objects not in a group... they just paste with no fill or transparency info. Only happening when pasting from one file to another.  I just updated CC this week and started having the problem. Is there a setting I'm missing? Been using ID since 2008 as a full time designer, so not a newbie. TIA

You still should try pasting into a new doc, compare fill color specs, transparency settings in a source and target docs. Some effects may be applied to a whole group, not to an objects within... A lot of places to look, I can hardly be more specific

Some different settings (styles?) have the same names in those files, I guess.

Without knowing what kind of "objects" you're dealing with, it's just a shooting in the dark. Pasting from one file to another, you say? Could it be some kind of object styles conflict? How about pasting from the source file to completely new fresh document?

Thanks, simple circles and rectangles that I drew. Sorry, should have been more specific.
