Hi - I have been getting this error and cannot get past it. "Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit"

Whilst it promises to try and fix the problem it never does.

Adobe service desk cannot help me and my PC wont accept LR6 as it is not 64bit so I am cornered.

Thanks in advance!

I think the answer at this link will fix your problem

Problem reading preview cache?

Be aware that deleting the Previews.LRDATA  folder will mean that Lightroom has to re-build the previews.

Suggest you set this going by selecting photos (Catalog Panel-  All Photographs, select all), Go to-  Menu > Library > Previews > Build Standard Size Previews,  and go to bed.

If you do not re-build all previews with one process, you may see Lr go slower as it builds previews as you work.
