Hi,

I am having the same problem. Create a new user to run ADE? Seriously??

I need the ebooks in my current session, certainly not to log on with different accounts to do ADE on one side and the rest on the other.

Plus... No fix in over 18 months ??????????????????????????????????????????

Did more searching... event viewer shows this error :

Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Digital Editions 4.5\DigitalEditions.exe

With the above I was able to find that the user.config file located in AppData\Local\Adobe_Systems_Incorporate\DigitalEditions.exe_Url_qyaa14c3q2yckzgdtukp5ltfvp1pdpdu\2.0.0.0\ had been corrupted.

Deleted it and ADE started working again. Come on Adobe would it kill you to make info like this more readily available ??? And...huh.. why not check the user.config consistency upon startup to do things correctly? Huh? Hmmmm... Anyone there ?

Guess not...

Lame... lame...
