Premiere Elements 15 Crashes whenever I...do anything.

I have a project that will crash ("Adobe Premiere Elements 15 has stopped working" with option to close program...comes up twice before finally closing the app) whenever I:

- use anything on the toolbar to the right (add a transition, auto correct a video, add music)

- select an mp3 clip from Project Assets

- other various things

I am using Windows 10. Core i7 processor, nVidia graphics, 8GB RAM. This just started happening yesterday. I have updated my video driver, restarted the computer, copied the project to a new file and tried that (same result).

I can attach the log file if that helps. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

Please open 'event viewer' and check the faulting module for Premiere Elements crash.

This will help us identify the issue.

To open Event Viewer, Type Event viewer in windows search box. Under Event Viewer Tab, click on Windows Logs> Application on left tab and highlight the error for Premiere Elements. At the bottom it will give the details.

Thanks

Ann Bens, I reinstalled the application. Now the error is more severe when I open the project Windows gives me a blue screen and reboots.

I opened a different project, got the same crash when I tried to add a transition. Attached is the XML from the Evnet Viewer:

Please rename Premiere Elements preferences by renaming the folder 15 to 15_old file at following location:

C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Elements

Also, check if there is any update pending for your graphics card drivers.

Thanks and regards
