Does anyone know of any issues or bugs with the Canon EOS 5Ds and tethered shooting in LR?
Thank you.

According to the tethered cameras support list
A list of cameras that can be tethered to Lightroom
you need at least 6.8/CC 2015.8 and must have a card in the camera.
If that's all OK your end, what other symptoms are you experiencing?

Sorry, that only applies to the 5D Mark IV. This wretched Jive forum software will not let me edit posts anymore. I really wish Adobe would ditch it for forum software which works reliably.
For the 5DS you need Lightroom version 6.3.

No, you’re right - canon has to have a card in the camera. I don’t know if it's that way for every canon model but I’ve read it, seen it - it’s how they do it.

Hi John,
Thanks for responding.
My camera ia on the list and has been for a long time.
I have LR CC 2015.10
I have the latest MAC release - 10.12.4
I tried all sorts of stuff tonight, all I got from LR is No Camera Detected.
Canon doesn’t mention tethering in their manual for my camera - they say it’s a software issue not a camera issue.
Canon has a program similar to LR. it’s actually 2 programs that work together - I used it, didn’t like the color or density - it’s not for me.
I’ll go back to trying this weekend, until then it’s memory cards.
Thanks again.
