Move metadata from caption to title

I have transferred photos and their keyword and caption metadata from Portfolio through Aperture and finally to Lightroom.  I ended up with descriptions in 'Caption' but want to move them to 'Title' so I can standardise my approach for new photos with a brief 'title' and more expansive description under 'caption'.  There are up to 6,000 photos involved.  Can I do this within Lightroom or is there any plugin available?
