I don't have the eyedropper grid when trying to set custom wb on my desktop.  I have it on laptop.  Is there a setting to turn this feature back on?

First of all, make sure you have the toolbar displayed (press the letter T). Then, with the white balance tool active make sure there is a checkmark in the loupe option.

Hello, I am new to lightroom.

I am having issues with getting my grid to show up with my whitebalance dropper. I like this tutorial, however I can't seem to find the diagram you posted below. Perhaps something is hidden in lightroom on my screen. Can you please post  where you find this info in the lightroom preview area?
