Excuse me.  Let me clarify.

Increase the content in your composition window to 100%: /

*Fit* the content in your composition window to 100%: Shift+/

Are you referring to scaling a layer to fit the dimensions of a composition, or are you referring to zooming in a view so that the composition fits the size of the viewer?

Shortcuts for scaling a layer to fit the composition are in the "Shortcuts: modifying layer properties" section of After Effects Help on the Web.

Shortcuts for zooming in a view so that the composition fits in the viewer are in the "Shortcuts: views" section of After Effects Help on the Web.

I found both of these with this Community Help search .

You need to be very careful with the CTRL + Alt + F command. You can easily end up with distorted images. Any scaling should have the same X and Y values.

If I'm filling a frame with an image I always use Ctrl?Cmnd + Alt/Option + H.

Just to clarify the fit shortcuts that Mylenium posted fit a layer to a composition, the / and Alt+/ (mac) fit a comp to the comp panel.

on Mac, to make your comp viewer return to 100% within its given window size (as opposed to "full screen") just press the "/" key, regardless of what window you are clicked IN to.

What is the difference between "Fit" and "Fit up to 100% (200%)"? They seem to work identically, don't they?
