Transfer & apply keywords from Bridge to LR ?

Keywords : Parent & offspring ( 30 or so ) are missing in LR 3.6

Not in the images, NOT in the keyword list.

The images with these keywords were are visible in

Adobe Bridge        CS5

Adobe Photoshop CS5

Photo Mechanic 5

The keywords are not visible in Apple Preview ! ?

Can I get them back in LR without having to re apply them ?

There are only 30 or so keywords but they should be on approx 56K images.

Select the desired photos in the Lightroom grid, then Metadata->Read Metadata From Files. (Note: this will overwrite any existing metadata that is in Lightroom for these photos)

But as you seem to know your way around LR,

can I ask ...  I did 31 files as a test ... took a little more than 2 min .. normal ?

Seems way slow, the app is on one disc, the files on a second both internal 7200

They import much faster.

also just curious in Bridge

under filter list

first line shows no keywords for all selected images

BUT

then shows all the keywords ? !

MacPro 1.1 Desktop 3.GHz dual core 10GB ram

I really have no idea how long this should take as I have never done it, and furthermore I don't have your photos or hardware.

I can't answer Bridge questions.
