I'm a long time Mac user looking to switch over to a PC for my After Effects work and was wondering what websites you'd suggest using to build one?

Here's what I'm thinking right now:

Processor: Intel Core i7 6900K 3.2GHz (3.5-4GHz) 8 Core

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB

Motherboard: I don't know... something that supports Thunderbolt.

Thanks!

I've purchased two systems from here:

https://www.adkvideoediting.com/desktop-video-workstations

Their customer service is exceptional.  Be sure to call them and talk to them rather than just configuring something online.

puget systems and adk are often recommended. safe harbor sometimes gets recommended, but i would avoid their hardware.

I spent a lot of time checking out the new/completed builds at pcpartpicker.com when I was building mine.  You can get a lot of good inspiration and tips on what does/doesn't work.  Ordered all from NewEgg (was going to do Amazon but put it all in the cart and had $140 in tax!  None of that nonsense at newegg).
