Unsuccessful to open an ebook (ascm file)

Adobe digital editions is recently installed (today) and I tried to open an ebook (ascm file). Unable to open it. Software isn't responding when I'm clicking on my book. How I can solve this issue?

First should try if can download other ascm file to check if the problem in the eBook itself: Sample eBook Library | Adobe Digital Editions
