Lightroom 6.9 & PS Elements 12 [Locked]

I updated my imac from Yosemite to Sierra, and although I can get into LR and Elements, when I start the programs I get pop-up messages that say:

In Elements: Your application install seems to be damaged, please reinstall the application.

In LR: Adobe manager required to verify your license, is missing or damaged. Download new copy.

In LR I can access photos and files, but cannot check for updates.

If I reinstall and download new copies will I lose my settings, and plugins, in both programs?
