I can't get rid of a full-page "bounding box"(?) with text wrap.

Hello,

In creating text wrap on one of the pages in my book, I don't know what I did

to not just create a bounding box and successful text wrap on an object on that page,

but I have a full-page bounding box—it looks like—I can't get rid of.

Appreciate your help,

     Morty

So you want to remove the blue color on links from the text?

InDesign CCss_001.png

Open Window > Character Styles. Select the text.

InDesign CCss_002.png

Opt + Click on [None].

Is the frame on the master page?

Is the frame locked?

Can you undo, undo, undo back to where things looked good and try again?

A full screen screen shot with frames showing would be helpful here.

Thanks, Barb,

but in messing-around with another problem, the page-wrap is gone! (zero errors)

But while I'm talking to you: I have a few blue cyberlinks in my black text.

My printer said they wouldn't print solid black. But try as I may, I couldn't

change the color.

     Thanks again,

Fantastic! I want to send you a copy of the book when it's in print.

Where to, Barb?

Sorry, I thought I was done with weird things happening.

Had an error of text being outside a page.

Then I saw that the page after it (the last in the ms aside from captions-credits references)

was gone!

After doodling-around I came to see that placing the selection tool on a yellow (?) box

showed a page as when one places a doc in an .indd.

I went to a blank page and placed it and there it was, the missing page.

I got to put it where it belonged by Edit>copy>paste, but now I can't get rid of the one

I first placed.

I both tried to delete it but that cause some distortion in other parts of the ms,

and then moved to end of the document after blank pages. But that caused distortion.

     Thank you,

       Morty

I'm sorry for rambling so much, but to cut to the chase:

Somehow I got rid of the text-outside-the page error,

but now I can't delete the two extra copies of a text page with image

that I salvaged in getting rid of the page with the error.

Bless you! I had remembered it incorrectly and tried placing a blank master

over the pages I wanted to eliminate.

Not a reply to this, Barb.

Just wanted to say that it took awhile to realize that when I selected a page,

the wrong page showed up.

Only NOW did I realize how to make life easier in this respect:

Because I began my page number at the first page of text, when I want a page,

I have to add 22 to the page I want—because of 22 pages of un-numbered frontmatter.

Regards,

Morty

Normally front matter is assigned lower case roman numerals, and the body of the document starts over at 1 using arabic numerals, and this eliminates the issue you are describing.

Totally off the main topic, so if you want to discuss this further it would be better to start a new thread.

No, thanks. This isn't a problem anymore—just wanted to tell you

I solved my own problem!

(I don't like Roman numerals for frontmatter.)

Cheers.
