Hiya
I am creating a document where I will have many pages that have roughly the same format. The only thing that will be different on each page is a certain number, corresponding to a question number and the question itself.
Otherwise the page will be the same. I was wondering if there is any way I can create default pages for the four possible layouts of the page (one with a question, one with just answer lines on the left hand side of spread, etc.) and then be able to just 'insert' the ones I need when I need them?
I know an obvious answer is to create one design and duplicate it, but the point is whether or not InDesign supports some sort of 'button' that you can click to insert a pre-designed style.
Hope it makes sense.
Thanks for any help.
InDesign lets you do that through Master Pages within an InDesign documents.
You can learn more about this here:

Learning how these work should get you where you want to be.

Master Pages is the way forward here. No Doubt about that at all!
If you need further advise or help then please either post a reply to this thread, start another discussion or message either Randy or myself privately.
In the meantime I will mark Randy's answer as correct.
