Hi, since the update to InDesign CC2017.1 disabled edittext is not readable.
Has anyone an idea if I could fix it myself ?

Here the options from my German InDesign CC 2017.1 on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.10.5:

UI-Settings.png

And if we consider disabled edit text in the 4 available flavors from bright to dark UI:

1.

LowContrast-1.png

2.

LowContrast-2.png

3.

LowContrast-3.png

4.

LowContrast-4.png

All 4 options are very hard to read. Option 2 on my screen seems to be a notch better, but I dislike the overall contrast there.

Uwe

Hi Stefan,

You may want to stack a pseudo group on top of an editable box. that way the group would prevent user from editing the field.

However it may appear weird compared to the rest of the UI 😕

Hi Stefan,

no, at least not much.

Try the other 3 options for UI color.
That's all you can do.

And that:
