AFter effects crashing upon first open

So im trying to open after effects, and right away it crashes with error.

After Effects error: Preferences file "Adobe After Effects 14.2 win en_US shortcuts.txt" is not valid. The file will be renamed with ".old", and a new preferences file will be created.

I would recommend uninstalling AE and reinstalling.

Possibly unrelated, but worth mentioning, AMD processors are not officially supported with that version of After Effects.

I have tried uninstalling already. True that twice before making the post. I find I hard to believe that a processor would stop after affects from working.

I can try it when I get home again. Sounds more like a bandaid than a fix tho. Thankfully I only need it for a small thing. From what I could find lots of people have issues with after effects crashing. I really wish final cut studio worked on pc. Lol. I know that studio like the back of my hand.
