Lightroom Develop Issue

When I am in Lightroom and attempt to develop a new photo, my application crashes. I am getting the loading wheel and a black rectangle on the top part of the picture I am working on before it crashes. I have tried to reinstall Lightroom and I have run the application as an administrator and that did not fix the issue. Are there any suggestions on what the problem may be?

Thanks in advance!

It is possible to do it manually if you are happy to go into system files. Go to the following link and scroll to: Still having trouble?

Have you tried disabling GPU acceleration? Let us know if that makes a difference.

Go to:

Edit >> Preferences >> Performance (tab)

Lightroom >> Preferences >> Performance (tab) on Mac OS

Uncheck the box “Use Graphics Processor”

Then click OK

I actually have tried to do that, but the preferences window stops responding when I click the Use Graphics Processor box.
