Muse Damaged File

Muse recently froze on me and now I am not able to open the file I was working on.

I get the following error...

Does anyone know if there a way to repair this file?

Hello Al,

This kind of corruptions are very hard to recover and we can only give a trial and error.

And I would like to give a try if something can be done to repair the file.

For sharing the muse file you can upload it to Dropbox or WeTransfer and send it across to me in a private message.

Hello,

Actually, the file is beyond repair and you may download the HTML files of your site.

However, they can't be converted into a Muse file.

You need to take help of any code editor like Dreamweaver and work on the codes further.

The best is if you can find any backup or even the previous version of your file and then work on it.

So how can i prevent this from happening again? Having the program crash is not an optimum outcome which could render the file unusable. Should there be instructions to prevent this or update the application as not to crash.

After decoding your site what we have found is that the file got corrupted because of unsafe external drive removal.

So it is advisable that instead of updating the file from an external drive, save it to your local hard disk and then work on it.
