Are you using Edge Animate or Adobe Animate? Edge Animate did not have a 2017 update.

Thanks,

If you're using Adobe Animate to export a spritesheet for Edge Animate, make sure the data format is set to Edge Animate.

If you're importing such a spritesheet into Edge Animate, the last version is CC 2014.1.1. The File menu still has an Import Spritesheet option.

I don't think Preran's link helps with importing spritesheets into Adobe Animate, but it does discuss why you wouldn't need to do that anyway.
