I have moved my photos to a new external hard drive and tried to preserve the folder structure by the hard drive name is different.

Lightroom can show me my collections and the number of files in them.

Each of the thumbnails is present but all of the photos are marked missing "!"

Is there a way I can rebuild the connection the photos in Finder for a whole folder rather than each individual photo?

Thanks

I have already read this doc and it doesn't help as it talks about Folders and missing folders.  I have a problem with a collection therefore the menu does not have the same options to find the content.

You can see in this screen grab that the collection has the total number of photos and the thumbnails however they all have the ! on them

The context menu is different as this is not a folder but a collection.

Is there another way around this?

The problem manifests itself under Folders. That's where you must go. You cannot fix the problem by looking at collections.
